Pre-school Children
We provide curriculum planned activities for all our pre-school children and we work towards the curriculum guidance for the foundation stage. The 6 areas of learning include:
- Creative development
- Physical development
- Knowledge and understanding of the world
- Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
- Communication, language and literacy
- Personal, social and emotional development
Outdoor Play
We offer outdoor play for all our children throughout most of the day (weather permitting). Children have the choice of
playing outdoors or indoors and the door to the play area is open throughout the session times to give children free flowing access to the outdoors curriculum. We offer a range of physical equipment outdoors as well as curriculum planned activities.
We have a growing area for plants and also a smaller area at the back of the building for when babies and toddlers access the outdoor area. We offer drinking water to children at al times during outdoor play and apply sun cream to children when needed with parents permission.
Our outdoor area is safe and secure for all children to access and when playing outside all gates are padlocked. We have high fences and walls. Children are supervised by staff at all times.
